Surveyor Dimension Tool

The Surveyor Dimension Tool (SDT) provides the possibility to set dimensions in geographic coordinates for line and arc segments.

Installation

Download the Surveyor Dimension Tool.
Double click on the file SurvTool.EXE to unpack setup program and install the Tool.
At the first step you will be asked for the destination folder to save unpacked setup program. The default location is C:\Program Files\SurvTool Setup\
Then setup program runs automatically and you will be prompted for the correct location of the TurboCAD/Program folder. Once specified, the SDT will be automatically installed.
NOTE: The SDT may be reinstalled at any time by running Setup.exe from the folder where setup program has been saved or bydouble clicking on the downloaded file SurvTool.EXE.
After the installation, the "Surveyor Dimension" item will be added to the AddOns menu. The corresponding button will also appear on the desktop in TurboCAD.

Setting dimensions to line and arc segments

Select AddOns/Special Tools/Insert/Surveyor Dimension menu item, or click on "Surveyor Dimension" button. Then click on a line or arc segment, and choose "Finish" from the Local Menu, to complete setting the dimension. An associative dimension will be added.

Surveyor Dimension Properties

You can change the properties of the dimension that is being set, or of an existing dimension. To change the properties: activate Surveyor Dimension Tool, select "Surveyor Dimension Properties" item in the Local Menu, or click on "Surveyor Dimension Properties" button in the Inspector Bar - "Surveyor Dimension Properties" panel will appear, where you can change the properties.

Editing a surveyor dimension

To edit a surveyor dimension: select the dimension, call Properties (Format/Properties/Other page), select Surveyor Dimension Properties line, and press "Go To Page" button - "Surveyor Dimension Properties" panel will appear, where you can change parameters of the existing dimension.

You can change position of the dimension, using Selector or Node Tools.

You can also change direction of a dimension. Click on the segment, choose "Change Last Segment Direction" item from the Local Menu, or press "Last Segment Direction" button in the Inspector Bar - direction of the dimension will be changed.
